Sri Lanka has emerged as the top holiday destination for UAE-based Sri Lankan expatriates this season, with travel agencies reporting record bookings for the summer months.\n\nSerendib Travel & Tours in Abu Dhabi noted that packages including visits to Sigiriya, Kandy, and beach resorts in the South are particularly popular.\n\n"People are rediscovering their homeland and wanting to show it to their children who have grown up in the UAE," explained travel consultant Chamara Silva.
